I’m going to begin the process of merging my Widdershins and my Comfy Fuzzy Ninjas blogs together.  What does that mean?  It means that updates that usually only show up on my Widdershins blog (Monday weirdness postings, essentially) will also show up here. It also means that there may be some technical difficulties as I wrestle with the blogger interface and try to change them.

So that this post isn’t entirely about technical updates, I’m going to include a bit about a meme that I love.  It’s called hipster edits.  First though, have you seen those “artsy” pictures of landscapes or lawn furniture, taken with an odd filter with a quote superimposed upon it?  Things like these:

Now, there’s nothing wrong with these.  They’re cute and amusing, and sometimes they even pull off the inspirational vibe that they’re going for.  I’m perfectly okay with wasting some time paging through images like this. Sure, they’re a little pretentious, and they do tend to be associated with hipsters (most pictures like these seem to be created with the Instagram app on the iPhone), but they’re cute.

But I would spend so much more time with hipster edits.  Hipster edits take pictures like these and offer sarcastic replies, usually in red print posted on top of the original image.  Here are some of my favorites.  Fair warning, some profanity included.

Fun, right?  If you want more feel free to check out these two sites.
